No — I Love Taimei is not halal-certified. That said, all of our food is prepared with no pork and no lard. This makes it a common choice for Muslim customers who are comfortable eating at non-certified establishments with pork-free and lard-free kitchens. The two dishes ordered most often are the Extra Crispy Chicken Cutlet (XXL) and the Taiwan Popcorn Chicken. The cutlet lives up to its name — it is genuinely large and stays crispy for longer thanks to the ventilated packaging. The popcorn chicken carries the classic basil-leaf fragrance that makes it taste like night market food. Yes. You can choose from a range of Taiwanese seasoning powders to finish your fried chicken: Mala (麻辣), Seaweed (海苔), Cheese (起司), Garlic Seafood (蒜香海鮮), and the sweet-and-sour Sour Plum (梅粉). Spice levels are fully adjustable, from Non-spicy to Extra Hot, so you can set every order of XXL Crispy Chicken or Popcorn Chicken exactly the way you like it.

Will the food still be crispy when it arrives?
Better than you would expect. We use breathable, ventilated packaging designed to let steam escape so the chicken does not go soggy in transit. It is not exactly the same as eating it fresh at the outlet, but it holds up noticeably better than standard takeaway packaging.

How does the I Love Taimei membership work?

What are the opening hours?
Most outlets are open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM (22:00). A couple of outlets — Junction 8 and West Mall — close earlier at 9:30 PM (21:30). Hours can occasionally change, so the safest place to check current hours for each outlet is the store finder.
